Smart cities are on their way – and this time we mean it! Varying thought leaders elude to us being in the third wave of smart city evolution. The first wave upgraded our city infrastructures, the second wave saw the introduction of innovative leadership to include digital in municipal programs and systems, and the current third wave is the integration and inclusion of us, the resident, into the smarter city programs.
