Community Angels: Let's Talk About Angel Investing. (Room: Onyx - 2nd Floor)
Limited Capacity filling up

What is an Angel? Well, in the entrepreneurial sense it is an individual who invests in small startups or entrepreneurs. Often, an Angel investor is among an entrepreneur's family, friends or close network. The capital Angel investors provide may be a one-time investment to help the business propel to the first, or next early stage deliverable's.

Come and hear how Angels think, work and connect, learn what it takes to position your messaging to attract and collaborate with an Angel. If you are interested in becoming an Angel but don't know how, join the conversation and hear some of the rules, restrictions and challenges others have faced.

Workshop: Pitch Practice Mentoring (Room: Community Room A)
Limited Capacity seats available

Take the knowledge learned from today's ideation session through to marketing and communications and prepare a brief presentation pitch to cast your idea to a live audience.

Most investors and capital have prerequisites to investment that are pretty well known but often not addressed effectively up front. Come along to this session listen, learn, and hear the tips, tricks, and tools for taking your capital pitch down to 5 minutes and by doing so keeping your messaging simple, focused, and straightforward.

This approach has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for dozens of entrepreneurs who have done the work to follow the simple guidelines because it takes what was a very intimidating and jargon-filled process and turns it into a simple, logical, straight forward explanation of the opportunity. This raises the entrepreneur's confidence and comfort, which can increase their chances of gaining that trust and investment. Lleve el conocimiento aprendido de la sesión de creación de ideas a través del marketing y las comunicaciones, y prepare un breve discurso de presentación para transmitir su idea a una audiencia en vivo.
