Discover YOUR Entrepreneurial Ecosystem (Room: The Quarry)
Limited Capacity seats available

What exactly is a startup ecosystem?

A startup ecosystem is formed by people, startups in various stages, and various types of organizations in a location with each contributing through interactions as a dynamic and complex system to cultivate new startup opportunities.

Startup ecosystems are generally defined by these network of interactions among people, community, organizations, and their environment. They come in many types, but are usually better known as startup ecosystems of specific cities or online communities.

Come along to this Smart City, "smarter. together." session and meet a few of the organizations working together in and around Longmont to help evolve our entrepreneurial ecosystem, build and foster a Colorado regional network of resources, and create a recognition alongside our sister communities as an entrepreneurial ecosystem startups want to start-up in.

New Opportunities: Cities as Incubators - Take a Look, You Might Be Surprised (Room: The Quarry)
Limited Capacity seats available

Given the trends of rapid urbanization, urban sustainability requirements, innovation hubs, innovation districts, and smart city policy and infrastructure it’s no wonder cities are poised to lead, serving as labs for ideas and incubation in response to these new realities.

Bold leadership, policy making, and action will not just sustain existing business and residents but will foster a new age of growth, opportunity, and economic development by opening the city to entrepreneurs and startups.

Here we are today in Longmont, enabled by our smart infrastructure poised to be a lab city, a smart city incubator fostering innovation, collaborating with innovators and startups to co-solve municipal problems together for mutual benefit, and to enhance livability for all within the city.

Come along and hear about where lab cities exist for innovators and startups looking to collaborate, co-develop, and test their solutions in the smart city market.
